Presenting Team Tabban 2017
An athlete is “a person who is trained or skilled in training, requiring physical strength, agility and stamina.” An individual who participates in sports. Characterized by dedication, focus, intelligence and work ethic There’s a sense of pride and feeling good about your commitment. That’s the core of being an athlete, whether it’s for a trophy or just to say,
‘Yep, I did that.’”
Our Tabban athletes are a team of people who have come together to work united, towards achieving a common goal, creating a positive working atmosphere, supporting each other to combine individual strengths to enhance their team’s performance.
Our athletes have dedicated the past 12 weeks to training and preparing for Season B 2017. They have made sacrifices to achieve their goals set by our Tabban trainers and have exceeded all expectations.
Head trainer and owner Michael Tabban believes his teams achievements this season are of an exceptionally high standard and is thrilled with the team of athletes that Tabban Muscle and Body Shape is bringing to stage..
We will keep you posted with team updates over the competition weekend
18th of August 2017
Let’s begin our Team Tabban update by sharing Doreen’s
” Top 10 unexplained moments during competition preparation! “
We are certain our athletes can relate to this..
Updating the progress of Team Tabban 2017
Only five weeks to go before our athletes grace the stage at the ICN Victorian Championships. Competition day requirements such as bikini’s, shoes, hair and make up have all been organised early to focus on training, flexing and posing. All our athletes attend our Wednesday night team meets which is the night that the athletes get to see the whole team and each others progress. Our Tabban teams age range is from the youngest athlete Madison 19 years old all the way to over 60. There is no discrimination of age when our team get together. When the team meets it is a time to share their thoughts, feelings and any concerns as they progress to stage. Team support is priceless to Tabban athletes, as anyone that has competed would know that preparing for a competition is difficult. Once you have competed in a team you would not consider doing it any other way .
Every athletes weekly view by their trainer consists of a weigh in, individual nutritional review and it is also a moment when our athletes are supported privately by Tabban trainers. Progress is always celebrated with a cheer, hug and lot’s of high fives! Our athletes are our super stars and are always made to feel special not only by their trainers and team mates but also by our members that are watching them transform.
Here are a few snap shots of our athletes in training..
Team Tabban athletes Bec Churchill, Jodie Reeves and Hanim Yuksel are always sharing their knowledge with our novice athletes. Having competed in Season A as novice athletes the ladies provide tips to help our athletes perfect their stage performance. These ladies received 27 trophies between them in their first season. Including 9 wins and 9 second places. Having experienced athletes share their stage experience is another benefit of training with Team Tabban.

Our athletes have trainers with many years of competition experience. Owner/Coach Michael Tabban has 30 years experience in competition training. Michael’s expertise in this industry is magical. From the moment an athlete enters the gym Michael knows if they are on track with their nutrition. There is almost no need for scales or a dexa scan when Michael looks your way. With just a glance he will alter an athletes nutrition to keep them on track. This skill comes not only with years of wisdom but also the hundreds of athletes that Michael has trained for comp. With Areti Anagnostellis, 4 times WFF Miss Universe and newest team trainer Doreen Nicolaou, also a 3 time Team Tabban athlete, our athletes are well prepared for competition day.
Our athletes are also excited to be posing and coached by Vicki Arief. They have all taken the opportunity to attended small group sessions with Vicki plus some individual sessions to perfect their posing skills. Until our next update they have been instructed to pose and flex, then repeat and repeat again 🙂

24th of July 2017
Training for the Team Tabban 2017 athletes is in full swing! Our team of 20 athletes began their competition preparation at the end of June 2017. Our team’s first competition will be the ICN Victorian Championships on the 23rd and 24th of September 2017, where they will be entering a wide range of categories such as bikini model, ICN Angels, sports model, fitness, figure and bodybuilding.
Team Tabban athletes are training four days a week with trainers Michael Tabban, Areti and Doreen. They are all following their individually personalised nutrition plans, cardio sessions and any extra exercises they require to sculpt their physique. Athletes are viewed weekly by their trainer and each athlete’s plan is reviewed to reach their goal.
Every Wednesday night Team Tabban meet with all the Tabban trainers. During this weekly gathering, under the watchful eye of Michael Tabban, the athlete’s practice their stage performance such as posing and learning to grace the stage and the judges. This gathering is an opportunity for the athlete’s to share their thoughts with like minded friends with the same goals.
Tabban Muscle and Body Shape also hold seminars during these sessions on topics such as the art of posing: do’s and don’ts, post competition nutrition and all the information the athlete’s need to know to be well prepared for competition day. We guide the athlete’s on tans, hair makeup and bikinis/trunks.
We invite guests along such as Nikki Smith from Ikkin Wear to bring along her amazing range of bikini’s and men’s trunks. Nikki has already attended a session this season and displayed a range of competition wear and fabrics for our athlete’s. Nikki then stayed for the posing practice session. Nikki Smith is also a figure athlete and a great support for Team Tabban.
Michael Tabban also advises all our Team Tabban athletes to attend ICN Victoria Posing classes with Vicki Arief . Our athletes attended Vicki’s first class for Season B on Sunday 16th of July. Vicki has many years of experience in competition posing and stage performance.
Our athletes thoroughly enjoyed Vicki Arief’s pose class and gained knowledge from a lady with lot’s of experience in the art of posing. Her mannerisms, words of wisdom and encouragement excited the girls as you can see by their faces in these photo’s.
Team Tabban will be attending more of Vicki’s classes and she has been kind enough offer to our team a smaller group session.
Thank you to ICN, Vicki Arief, Tony and Patricia Lanciano for making this possible for Team Tabban 2017.
With the Competition Season B 2017 preparations going to plan, we have begun our long list of fundraisers.
Team Tabban are fundraising to send a team of athletes to compete at the The World’s Biggest Natural event Natlympia in Bali from the 27th- 29th of October 2017.
We have kicked off with a cadbury chocolate drive. Our athletes, Tabban members and staff have already sold 40 boxes!!!
On Sunday 23rd of July we held a super exciting fun filled 80’s themed aerobic class.
With our Tabban trainer Doreen Nicolaou instructing the one hour class, heart rates were sky high!! This fundraiser was a hit by all that attended. With 80’s music, leg warmers, head bands and g-string outfits the class revisited the 1980’s. It was an hour of aerobic routines combined with the good old fashion tummy, hip and thigh exercises. Doreen last instructed a class in 2004 and was put to the test on Sunday. She had to pull out all the moves such as grapevines, step touches, kicks and curls as all the participants were very coordinated and fit.
Such a fun way to raise money for Team Tabban!
Stay tuned for more Team Tabban 2017 updates!!
